A special flag raising event and two minutes silence took place on Wednesday 19 October on the front lawn at Surrey Heath House for 999 Emergency Services Day. 

After a difficult two years for both elite and grassroots sport, the Surrey Heath Sports Awards were finally able to return to a ceremony at Camberley Theatre this year after Covid-19 meant that couldn’t happen in 2020 and 2021.

SHBC’s 'Driving Improvement' campaign focuses on these three aspects of life in Surrey Heath.

Through our 'Driving Improvement' campaign we are enhancing our work against anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping.

At the latest meeting of the Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive on 20 September further support for local communities was agreed. 

This scheme provides grants of up to £25,000 to assist local 'not for profit’ organisations with the delivery of community projects.

Residents of Surrey Heath aged 18 and above have the opportunity to have their heart’s health checked for free this summer by visiting one of Frimley Health and Care’s ‘know your blood pressure’ pop up events between 25 August and 10 September. 

Ukrainian children, who have been welcomed with their families to Surrey Heath through the Homes for Ukraine scheme, helped the Mayor of Surrey Heath Cllr Helen Whitcroft and SHBC Leader Cllr Alan McClafferty raise the Ukrainian flag outside Surrey Heath House mark Ukrainian Independence Day yesterday.

The Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive will meet on 16 August, with Community Grant Fund awards among the items on the agenda. 

The Pride flag was raised outside Surrey Heath House on Monday 1 August by the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr Helen Whitcroft.
