Mayor’s diary – this week many people have asked what a Mayor does.
Firstly, in the formal part, we chair full council meetings, approximately 6 per year. We also attend engagements, schools, charities, businesses, and organisations, this is the fun part where we can help support you!
Finally, I will be raising funds for the three charities I have decided to support this year. So who have we met this week?? I have been to Residential Homes, Camberley Manor, Deepcut and Lakeview, and Lightwater.
Camberley Manor was celebrating their 7th birthday with a party and music! Not my first visit, so catching up with old friends was lovely.
Lakeview had an open day, They have both residential and dementia facilities, and it was lovely to meet with residents and staff.
Friday evening bought another example of things I thought I would never do! Belly dancing!! Thankfully, no clothes change! The Rotisserie Corner in Camberley has had a name change to Roti, and I was asked to the relaunch!
Excellent food and fantastic atmosphere, so a huge thank you to them!
