We are very pleased to announce the new skate park at Mychett Recreation Ground is now open!
The park has been built in top grade materials by skate park experts ‘Fearless Ramps’ and aims to provide skaters of all abilities a great experience and lots of opportunities to practice their skills and tricks.
The ‘Driveway’ design was selected by public consultation and consists of a main ramp, quarter pipe, jumpbox and a flat bank all finished in red and black.
The riding surface of the new ramps and half pipe is a material called ‘Skatelite Pro’ which is a laminated composite material providing the quietest, safest and most cost-effective option both in terms of installation and maintenance.
The Mayor of Surrey Heath and Ward Councillor for Mychett and Deepcut, Cllr Helen Whitcroft visited the new park with Cllr Rebecca Jennings-Evans, Leisure, Culture & Community Portfolio Holder.
