The first branch of the Cake Box was set up in Forest Gate, East London, in 2008 by Sukh Chamdal. Sukh’s family follow a lacto-vegetarian diet and found it increasingly hard to find quality egg-free celebration cakes on the high street.
Sukh had the idea of creating a local cake shop business which creates delicious, bespoke egg-free celebration and wedding cakes for the important moments in people’s lives: birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, christenings, retirements and other celebrations.
