A section 34 dispersal order has been put in place for Camberley Town Centre.

The order was authorised, due to large a amount of reports of antisocial behaviour and violent disorder in the Town Centre.

This Order is in place for 48hours and will start from 17:00PM Friday 19th May 2023 and ends at 17:00PM Sunday 21st May 2023.

The order, issued under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, gives officers the power to direct a person to leave the designated area and not return for up to 48 hours, if it is believed that their behaviour is or is likely to cause someone to be harassed, alarmed or distressed. Officers may also direct that person to surrender any items in their possession that may cause/contribute to such behaviour.

Failure to comply with an order to disperse, or returning to the area whilst excluded, is a criminal offence and could lead to an arrest.

We want everyone using the area to feel safe and would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to any of our officers on patrol.
